Rev. Jimmy O. Terry
Pastor Jimmy O. Terry, a native of Long Island, New York, is a seasoned pastor, nonprofit leader, and community advocate with more than three decades of experience serving churches, youth, and families across the United States and internationally. He currently serves as Lead Pastor of Springdale Community Church in Springdale, Maryland where he provides spiritual leadership focused on discipleship, faith formation, and community engagement.
Pastor Terry founded Trust Ministries, an international parachurch organization established to equip churches and communities through leadership development, ministerial training, and mentoring programs, especially for young men. Through Trust Ministries, he has overseen volunteer and mission teams, collaborated with congregations and community partners, and facilitated workshops designed to strengthen skills, character, and leadership capacity among emerging leaders.
His pastoral background includes service as an associate pastor and youth pastor in multiple churches within various ecumenical contexts. These include The Cathedral of Joy (under the leadership of Rev. Hattie Downer and Rev Norma Canty in Brooklyn, NY), First Church of God the City of Refuge (under the leadership of Bishop Timothy J. Clarke in Columbus, Ohio), and Church of the Nazarene (East Rockaway, NY) where he led youth and college ministry programming, community outreach efforts, and local conferences. Pastor Terry has also held leadership roles in national and regional faith organizations, including serving as president and presidential advisor to the National Inspirational Youth Convention of the National Association of the Church of God (West Middlesex, PA) as well as a mentor to countless young adults.
Beyond church ministry, Pastor Terry brings extensive experience in education, social services, and youth development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Anderson University and a Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University. He is an ordained minister with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Anderson University for his continued service to humanity.
A transformational visionary and anointed preacher, Pastor Terry’s gifts and work reflect a lifelong commitment to faith, service, and empowering the next generation. He and his wife, Lady Joyce, have been married for 25 blessed years.
