“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, there with to be content.” - Philippians 4:11

Lakeesha Linning Hammond is the compassionate, wonderfully gifted, and anointed First Lady of Springdale Community Church. She serves lovingly and in coordination with her husband, Rev. Howard K. Hammond.

The youngest of five children, First Lady Lakeesha was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina and is the only daughter of St. Junion Herbert & Elizabeth Linning.  Lady Lakeesha was blessed to be nurtured in a loving, Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the tender age of nine.

Lady Lakeesha has always loved and found great joy in serving people and the church. Because of her desire to be used of the Lord, Lady Lakeesha ministered in a variety of capacities while growing up in the Brownsville Community Church of God in Summerville, SC. Whether it was the Music Ministry, Kitchen Ministry, Ushers Ministry, teaching Vacation Bible School, or directing the Liturgical Dance Ministry, Lady Lakeesha could always be found serving.

In August of 2000, educational aspirations prompted Lady Lakeesha to relocate to Washington, DC. A proud graduate of South Carolina State University with a B.A. in Speech Pathology, Lady Lakeesha matriculated to Howard University for graduate studies. Upon completion, she received her M.S. in Speech Pathology with an emphasis in Multicultural Studies. First Lady’s love for the “chronologically blessed” motivated her to obtain the distinction of Dementia Specialist. She worked for many years in educational and health care settings and now has a private practice.

Lady Lakeesha currently serves as the Director of Worship & Creative Ministries at Springdale Community Church.

First Lady Lakeesha and Pastor Howard are the proud parents of an amazing adult daughter, Brittanie Jordon.
